What a week! Continue reading to know how was week 44 for me.

Books
I have finished reading ‘The Magic Of Thinking Big’ by David J Schwartz.
It’s all about believing that you can accomplish big things by thinking big. You’re better than you think you are by simply thinking that you’re big. Thinking small helps no one.
It’s a great book! You should read it too. I am now reading ‘The 80/20 Principle’ by Richard Koch. A book that I am very eager to read.
What are you reading?
Let me know in the comments below what book I should read next.
My Best Friend Got Diagnosed With Coronavirus
That’s something to think about, isn’t it?
I am not too worried about her health condition because she’s a young and strong woman so I think that she will recover pretty well.
However, this situation made me think about all this and the reason why is that, up until now I didn’t know of anyone diagnosed with COVID-19. At least no one that I care about. Now I do.
What changed? Nothing.
The fact that my best friend got diagnosed with COVID-19 didn’t change anything at all. Since the beginning of all of this, I have been doing what I can to protect me and my family. I avoid places where too many people are present, I wear a mask on the recommended places and I wash my hands more often than I ever did in the past.
People are arguing because of how the public and the government is handling the situation, people accusing organisations and governments and also people supporting conspiracies and ignoring WHO guidance on how to deal with COVID-19. I can’t help but think that there is no point in blaming anyone or getting angry at anybody because of something that we don’t really understand. I wish that would more respectful of those around them, more specifically those standing just a few feet away from them.
Social Problems
This week I was watching an interview with Bill Gates and Melinda Gates when I realised that instead of using social media to make myself feel better, I should be using it to raise awareness to issues that really matter.
Here’s a list of some of the things that came to my mind:
- Racism
- Inequality
- Poverty
- Pollution
- Homophobia
- Abortion
- War
- Access to Education
- Refugees
- Death Penalty
- Pedophilia
- Corruption
- Sexual Abuse
- Terrorism
- Sexual Education
- Prisons
- Access to Healthcare
- Euthanasia
- Freedom of Speech
- Justice System
- Environmental Issues
- Homeless
- Human Rights
What about that? I invite you to take a minute and think if we, as a society are doing enough to address the issues above.
##
That’s all for week 44.
P.S. Let me know on the comments below which of these social problems bothers you the most.
