Hello friends.
So today I attended an awesome property investment event.
One of the speakers said:
Teachers are not property entrepreneurs.
Anne Houlton
This really made me think.
Who can teach children entrepreneurial skills?
How can we expect children to learn entrepreneurial skills and how to manage money if teachers do not have experience themselves?
Of course, there are entrepreneurs that are teachers, but are there any really successful entrepreneurs that keep their teaching job? The answer is no.
The same happens with parents and families. There aren’t many successful parents, so how can parents really teach children about money management and entrepreneurial skills?
Find a mentor.
Adults looking for success should mingle with successful people and learn from them.
Children are no different.
If you want them to learn how to manage money and you are not the best example, you are not the right person to teach them. You need to find someone that can mentor your children. It could be someone you know that runs a business.
It could be someone online (i.e. YouTuber, blogger) that teaches children about money and business. There are many options, you just need to be creative.
The takeaway.
If you want your children to do better than you, expose them to people that are better off than you.
